Questions about stainless steel wire mesh

What is the difference between grades 304 and 316?

Grade 304 (AISI 304 / SUS 304 / DIN 1.4301) is the most widely used: it suits a wide range of applications and is reasonably priced. Grade 316 (AISI 316 / SUS 316 / DIN 1.4401) resists acids and alkalis better, which suits coastal areas and the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

What are the maximum width and length?

Up to 1.2 m wide and 30 m long.

When will I receive my order?

Rolls within 3–5 working days; cut or finished products within 10 working days.

How is the mesh number of wire mesh measured?

Count the openings along one inch. Twenty openings means mesh 20.

Which grades of stainless steel wire do you use?

SUS or AISI 304, 316 and 316L.

What difference does the wire diameter make at the same mesh number?

A thinner wire gives larger openings; a thicker wire gives smaller openings.
