Quick guide: which to choose

  • For most homes, or homes near the sea: HDPE insect screen, which resists humidity and salty air
  • For good airflow and fire retardancy: fiberglass insect screen
  • For homes with dogs or cats: Pet Mesh, which stands up to claws and still keeps mosquitoes out
  • For an eco-friendly choice: Ecoscreen, which is 100% recyclable
  • For wide doors, with a screen that folds away: PE pleated mesh

The five types compared

The higher the mesh count, the smaller the openings and the better the screen keeps out small insects. The width tells you the largest opening you can cover without joining two pieces.
